The OG of sexy hotel bars, Manhattan is in its seventh year and still going strong. Drawing inspiration from the Golden Age of cocktails, it has continued to innovate and, with no travel due to the pandemic, its Friends of Manhattan series turned to Michelin-starred chefs – the most recent collaboration was with Julien Royer of two-time Best Restaurant in Asia, Odette. For newcomers, make sure you get a tour of the only global in-hotel rickhouse, where special cocktails are barrel-aged. The latest drinks menu is a showcase for iconic Manhattanites – think Anthony Bourdain (After Hours) and Ella Fitzgerald (Harlem Nights). Helmed by bar manager Rusty Cerven (formerly of Connaught Bar and Gibson) and his extremely talented team, you can expect great service as well as yummy things to drink and eat (New York hot dogs are a fave). Of note are the epic, adult-only brunches on Sundays, for which you must book.
