Born as an ambitious idea to create a fantasy bar of the future, Insider is a step up in every possible direction. The creators – owner Galaktion Tabidze, head bartender Andrey Bolshakov and bar manager Vladimir Mayakov – deconstructed each aspect of the bar, building a coherent communal space around a high-tech hexagonal station right in the centre of the bar, which acts to encourage guests to interact with each other. Their interpretation of the futuristic bar relies on nature and technology coexisting effectively. The intricately pre-batched drinks come from a lab containing the most advanced devices, while the walls are built using an ancient pressed-soil technique. The best craftsmen have been drawn from every field and entrusted with doing their job while focusing on providing the most exclusive hospitality experience. This is a place where ‘insiders’ meet to get inspired, share ideas, or just to have a drink out of exquisite Baccarat glassware to the charming hum of conversation. Landing in the list at No.13 in the best position of any bar that has opened within the voting period, Insider Bar is named London Essence Best New Opening 2021.
