A vaulted bar in an awe-inspiring location, Atlas never fails to wow, from the sheer grandeur of the space to the more than 1,300-brand-strong gin tower. This passion project by the Hwang family has won accolades since the beginning and you can now enjoy Atlas in several ways. The afternoon tea is extremely popular, as is a Martini (or three) after work. If you want to nerd out about gin, there is always the Juniper Society, a membership-based community with monthly gin tastings and other special events. Its collection of wine, champagne and whiskies is also staggering. If you’re lucky, head bartender Jesse Vida may take you on a tour of the tower and then make you a cocktail from the recent La Grande Nation menu inspired by artists of 1925, the beginning of Art Deco. Try the AM’s Alliance if you like a bit of a kick, and get the croque monsieur if you’re peckish (there is a full food menu too if you’re really hungry). But be sure to make a reservation.
