Service Bar

Washington DC

Since 2016, thirsty patrons have made Service Bar their go-to local in The District for three great reasons: the famous fried chicken, the lively, unpretentious ambience and outstanding cocktails delivered at reasonable prices. The brainchild of seasoned DC industry vets Chad Spangler and Glendon Hartley, the no-frills, laid-back neighbourhood bar offers a refreshing alternative to the more serious (and pricey) cocktail bars the city has to offer.

Easy-going drink combos with quirky names keep things light and fun while staying conspicuously delicious – from the happy hour daiquiris and house pisco punch to more complex but still whimsical drinks like the punchy Al Pastor Margarita (tequila, raicilla, al pastor pineapples, lime) and Extra Kumamoto Manhattan (bourbon, sake sweet vermouth, PX sherry, orange bitters), there is an option for every mood. And for times that call for a keenly priced beer or glass of rosé, the menu has you covered on that front as well. Small groups can reserve the Snug Room for special occasions, but for everyday drinking, Service Bar is one of the most sublimely casual drinking destinations in DC.
