Pacific Cocktail Haven

San Francisco

Pacific Cocktail Haven, situated near San Francisco’s Union Square, is a destination for locals and visitors alike. Its pineapple logo symbolizes an international tradition of hospitality dating back to the 1600s as the staff welcomes people of all backgrounds and their four-legged friends. Award-winning founder Kevin Diedrich has finally gotten his bearings at this new location after a fire caused extensive damage to the space a few steps away, just as they were opening after the pandemic. Many seating options are available in this warm space with a full-length wooden bar, tables flanked by round, red banquettes accented with palm fronds and a front-facing courtyard.

Diedrich oversees an extensive, multi-page menu offering almost two dozen cocktails sorted according to category, while leaning towards Asian Pacific ingredients such as pandan, ube and nori. Turn the pages and you’ll also find various highballs, tropical drinks and punches good for five to eight people. During the holiday season, the bar transforms into a Miracle Christmas pop-up, going all out to bring its guests festive cheer via a winter oasis right in the middle of San Francisco. No reservations are accepted at this bustling bar, so adjust your party size and time of visit accordingly — the cocktails are worth it.
