Friends and Family is a fun-loving and playful white-hued bar furnished with wooden banquets, a grey bartop, rose-hued tables and purple neon lights occasionally lit upon an open-air back patio with a red spray-painted mural viewable thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. The cocktail menu numbers a trim but stellar dozen creations, with a house Mezcal Margarita anchoring the centre. The food menu is perfect for savoury snacking, from herb oil confit baby trumpet mushrooms to a popular grilled cheese with onion jam. Every month, the team donates the proceeds of a “daily affirmation” shot to gender-affirming surgery efforts, setting the tone for an especially inclusive vibe for all who enter.
