Bar Leather Apron

Honolulu

When opening Bar Leather Apron in 2015, co-founders Justin and Tom Park (no relation) shared a vision for creating a world-class cocktail bar inspired by their international travels. A place that would fuse hallmark Hawaiian hospitality with technique-driven cocktails to put Honolulu on the map as an international haven for cocktail lovers.

Located on the mezzanine level of the TOPA Financial Center, the intimate space glows with warm polished wood, moody lighting, and yes, plenty of leather accents (including the aprons). The cocktail menu takes inspiration from local and seasonal ingredients and includes sections for classics, highballs, farm-to-glass concoctions and unique signature drinks, the most famous being Justin Park’s award-winning E Ho’O Pau Mai Tai – made with raisin-infused rum, coconut water syrup, spiced orgeat, vanilla ohia blossom honey, lime, absinthe and wood smoke. Other creations, such as its matcha-infused Old Fashioned, play jovially with subtle Japanese influences, which are also reflected in the bar’s atmosphere and furnishings. It also houses Hawaii’s most extensive whiskey collection, with over 500 bottles of Scotch, bourbon, Japanese whisky and beyond. Reservations are highly recommended.
