Bar Leather Apron

When opening Bar Leather Apron in 2015, co-founders Justin and Tom Park (no relation) shared a vision for creating a world-class cocktail bar inspired by their international travels. A place that would fuse Hawaiian hospitality with technique-driven cocktails and ultimately put Honolulu on the map. Located on the mezzanine level of the TOPA Financial Center, the intimate space glows with warm polished wood, moody lighting, and yes, plenty of leather accents (including the aprons).

The cocktail menu takes inspiration from local and seasonal ingredients and includes sections for classics, highballs, farm-to-glass concoctions and unique signature drinks, the most famous being Justin Park’s E Ho’O Pau Mai Tai – made with raisin-infused rum, coconut water syrup, spiced orgeat, vanilla ohia blossom honey, lime, absinthe, and wood smoke, the recipe won the Don the Beachcomber Mai Tai Festival award for best Mai Tai three times over. With subtle Japanese influences sprinkled throughout the menu and the atmosphere, the bar also has the most extensive whiskey collection in Hawaii, with over 500 bottles of Scotch, Bourbon, Japanese whisky and beyond.
