Distilling good taste since 1872
Matusalem was born almost 150 years ago. The most sought-after rum during Cuba’s Golden Age, it is an indelible icon of that era.
Matusalem believes that elegance is timeless, a legacy that has been passed down from generation to generation. Its leitmotiv is to be pioneers in the pleasure of tasting, expressing and sharing natural good taste.
Its Spanish founders brought to Santiago de Cuba the technique of Solera ageing, used to produce sherry wines and brandies, and they mastered it over the years producing the iconic Matusalem rums.
Matusalem is called the “Cognac of rums”, as its range is one of the lowest in sugar levels in the whole category.
The flagship is the Gran Reserva 15, the upgrade is Solera 23 and the premium white pour is the beloved Platino; but if you’re looking for innovation, take a look at the first pink rum in the world: Insólito.
