Little Red Door
60 Rue Charlot, Paris 75003
In the words of head barman Remy Savage, Little Red Door “playfully questions the drinking experience in its essence”. In other words, you’re not just in for a cocktail… you’re in for a distinct experience. Whether it is expressing flavour via art with a menu built around local artists’ original works, or seeking inspiration in alternative disciplines, this bar is swimming in a wellspring of creativity.
The team complements that creativity with hard work. In preparation for the current Menu of Applied Architecture, they spent months studying books, following courses and speaking with professionals, resulting in a list that explores what it might be like to drink the “order, colour and geometry” of Art Deco. Answer: a lot like rye, cognac, fermented dates and violet tea.
Ultimately, the conceptual approach succeeds because it’s built on a foundation of warm service and a cosy vibe. Plus, Little Red Door has the most comfortable bar stools in Paris.
