Nutmeg & Clove

This speakeasy on the 2nd floor of the busy Ann Siang Hill is now in its fifth year and continues to tell the Singapore story. Nutmeg & Clove’s latest menu, called Flavours and Memories, really showcases local flavours from the five main ethnic groups in the Lion City, heavily drawing on their culinary influences. From the Bloody Crabs (Chinese), a Bloody Mary twist based on one of Singapore’s national dishes, to Auntie Sugee, representing the Eurasian community (one for the Old-Fashioned lovers), to the Malay rice dish-inspired Lemak Martini, and more. The interiors take the heritage concept further: even the bar’s vintage apothecary-like décor is a tribute to local history and heritage.
