This bar’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. In 2016 it appeared in the first ever edition of Asia's 50 Best Bars. In 2019, it won the Highest Climber Award, moving 33 places up the ranking, and this year it swoops in to take the top award as The Best Bar in Asia 2020, sponsored by Perrier. Its fun-time ethos and relaxed style of hospitality is complemented by an excellent classic drinks list, as the bar goes about its business in a refreshingly old-school way. The distinguished dark wood counter is dedicated to classic and vintage cocktails from served from its latest Magazine menu, which arrives in the form of a fully-fledged printed publication that’s full of interesting articles about the Asian cocktail scene. The martinis are standout, but don’t miss the Ramos Gin Fizz, which would get nods of approval in New Orleans. Head bartender Giovanni Graziadei leads an international team who create a party atmosphere that’s always convivial, but never rowdy.
