Backstage feels like a night in the glamorous dressing room of a Golden Age theatre, right down to the mirrors where drink specials are written to the red-velvet sofas made for lounging. The emphasis at this Asia’s 50 Best Bars regular is fully on fun and frivolity. But the cocktail menu gets serious, with riffs on classics such as the very popular Negroni-style ‘Earth Beet’ or the martini-like ‘Dead Poet’.
