The history of aged rums in Guatemala is strongly linked to Botran - one of the founding families of Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala.
In the mid twentieth century, five brothers from the Botran family came from Burgos, Spain and settled in Guatemala with the idea of founding a company that generates benefits for the whole country.
Over the years, these visionaries provided employment to several regions in Guatemala, contributing to economic decentralisation and the development of communities.
The brothers also perfected Botran rum production using local and natural resources like water, volcanic soils and local varieties of sugar cane. They combined a cutting-edge production process for virgin honey and sugar cane with the European tradition of Solera ageing.
The result is the Rums Añejos Botran, a legacy of tradition, history and passion.
Ketel One Vodka
With ten generations of Nolet family distilling passion and expertise, the Ketel One Vodka brand is built on one-to-one conversations with the bartending community. Launched in the United States in the early 1980s, Carolus Nolet Sr. was inspired by original recipes and techniques of his ancestors when he created the recipe and distinctive personality of Ketel One Vodka.
Drawing on the long-established distilling craft of his forefathers, Carolus Nolet Snr used a unique combination of modern column distillation and cherished traditional copper pot still distillation methods, including coal-fired Distilleerketel #1 – from which Ketel One Vodka takes its name.
Ketel One Vodka is a sophisticated and crisp, wheat-based, super-premium blend, which is produced exclusively in the Nolet Distillery in Schiedam, Holland and is now available in over 75 countries.
The Nolet family's passion for craft continues to grow and in Ketel One Vodka's quest to celebrate those who do one thing well, we raise a glass to all of those who pave their way to realise their dreams.

Tanqueray Gin has a rich heritage with a history that spans 180 years from when Charles Tanqueray first began crafting the world’s finest gin. Breaking family tradition by trading the cloth for the still, Charles followed his ultimate vision and passionately set out to make the best gin possible. After setting up his distillery in 1830 he experimented with many possible recipes and travelled far and wide in search of the highest quality ingredients before hitting on the careful balance of flavours that is Tanqueray London Dry. The result was a perfectly balanced gin with four distinct botanicals for an unrivalled flavour.
Throughout the years, Tanqueray has proven a timeless classic. From its early manufacture in Bloomsbury, Tanqueray has witnessed the rise of the gin palaces of the 1800s, influenced the world of jazz through to hip hop and legend has it that the brand was enjoyed post-Prohibition in the White House and by the Rat Pack. Today, the iconic brand continues to maintain Charles Tanqueray's legacy of excellence and know-how in making high quality gin and its universal status as a reliable classic makes it the only premium gin to start the night with. Among bartenders, Tanqueray is known to be the best for a great gin and tonic. The original Tanqueray Gin has an elegance that sets it apart from the rest and a flavour that shines in sophisticated cocktails and vibrant gin and tonics. With an extra smooth taste, Tanqueray is made with the finest botanicals including refreshing juniper, peppery coriander, aromatic angelica and sweet liquorice. The distinctive and iconic green bottle is inspired by the traditional three-piece cocktail shaker and its smooth yet bold flavour has made it one of the world’s most awarded gins.
Part of the portfolio is ultra-premium gin Tanqueray® No. TEN™, a liquid crafted through an unrelenting pursuit of perfection. One of the only gins distilled with whole fresh fruits, Tanqueray No. TEN is distilled in small batches and is named after the still it is produced in. Chamomile flowers create the signature velvety-mouth feel and other hand-selected, meticulously sourced botanicals provide further layers of unrivalled taste. The Tanqueray No. TEN bottle is slim, tall and elegant with art deco inspired lines. Introduced in 2000, it is the only gin and first white spirit to be in the San Francisco spirits hall of fame. To this day, the master distiller Tom Nichol selects, rejects and meticulously inspects the finest ingredients that go into making Tanqueray No. TEN gin
Bols is the world’s oldest distilled spirits brand, in Amsterdam since 1575. It all started with the Bols family distilling liqueurs and from 1664 they also began distilling genevers – The Dutch spirit – a proud tradition that continues to this day. Bols Master Distillers have since perfected the art of distilling Bols Genever over the centuries. In 1820, Bols introduced a revolutionary new genever recipe with a more subtle taste, as a result of a better balance of malt wine, neutral grain alcohol and botanicals. This new recipe is the authentic flavour of genever as it should be: complex, powerful, and delectable. This Bols Genever stood at the base of the cocktail revolution in the 19th century in the USA. In Jerry Thomas’s first cocktail recipe book, 1 in 4 cocktails were made with genever, including the Collins and the Original Gin Cocktail.
Bols Genever is also often used for a traditional Dutch ritual: the head butt (‘Kopstootje’): a malty beer next to Bols genever in a Dutch tulip glass, and the first sip of Genever needs to be ‘slurped’ out of this glass, with your hands behind your back: the Dutch way not to spill a drop of their precious Bols Genever!
