Callooh Callay

London, UK

Callooh Callay was one of the trailblazers in the London cocktail scene's resurgence. Its name comes from Lewis Carroll’s nonsense poem ‘Jabberwocky’ and the bar draws on the 'Alice in Wonderland' universe, as does the design, with most of the venue literally hidden through the looking glass – or at least a mirrored wardrobe door. Its themed cocktail menus have won just about every award going, with Callooh Callay a former World’s 50 Best Bars regular. The latest offering 'The Cocktail Bar Manual' is just as engaging, combining a sense of silliness with quirky ingredients.
